Kate Siu started her ceramics study in Japan with her mentor, Shibata Setusro in 2014. She continued her studies at Hong Kong Art School and completed the BA (Fine Art) programme (major in ceramics) in 2019, a programme co-presented by RMIT University Australia.

Kate Siu is an artist and industrial designer, mainly working with ceramics and found objects. As a Hongkonger who loves the city and enjoys life, she likes to explore the lifeline between her and Hong Kong through art practice, believing they are in the same vein. Her works are highly linked with daily life, the city, humanity, and local community.
She received the RMIT University Vice Chancellor’s List for Academic Excellence Award, the Taiwan FRANZ Rising Star Scholarship in 2019, the HKSAR Education Bureau Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund’s Outstanding Performance Scholarship, and The Pottery Workshop Limited Award in 2020.
